I began this “plein air” painting standing on the shore of Moraine Lake September 15th (2021). The prior evening the Alberta Rocky Mountains received their first snow of the season. Because it was shoulder season the crowds were sparse and it was easy to get a spot in the parking lot. I met several nice tourists from Canada and the U.S. as I was painting. Later my husband and I had a delightful hike along the lake. The painting itself is 9 x 12” and it comes in a premium frame with a linen liner.
A humorous side note - while painting, the wind suddenly whipped up knocking my paint palette over against my husband's jeans. He is such a good sport! He never complained as we got the solvent working to clean him up!
The framed sized is approximately 15" x 18"
