Bow River Meanderings - Original Painting

I did this on-site painting southwest of Banff in preparation for my larger painting, “Springtime Along the Bow”. Mount Norquay can be seen in the background.  It was early May and the snow melt was yet to fill the rivers. The water was barely moving and as I painted a steady rotation of fishermen cast their lines from the edge of the river. This little study in oil paints is 9” x 12” and has been framed. The width of the frame is 2-1/2".
