Out on a Limb

Birds in general are hard to photograph but my friend Kevin Friesen does an amazing job! I based this painting on his photograph. For the past few years we've been seeing Baltimore Orioles at our cabin on Last Mountain Lake, Saskatchewan. But they are fast and busy! Usually we see a brief flash of orange. They are drawn to food that's orange in color and people often place cut up oranges nearby for them.
