Peaceful Morn in the High Country

I love all scenes pastoral! The idea for this painting came when we were driving through central Montana countryside that was somewhat higher in elevation. Artistic license led me to paint the scene slightly different from my photograph, but this was how I felt about the scene. It was even a grayer, drizzly day but I wanted to picture the morning and have some shadows. In a way I guess you'd say this was the place I wanted it to be.

This 10” x 10” oil painting is on a cradled panel with 1-1/2” depth. The edges are painted black and it comes ready to hang.
