Springtime Along the Bow - Original Painting

This painting is from a location just south of Banff, Alberta, Canada. Mount Norquay is in the background.  This is how the mountains appeared in early May before spring melt and the Bow River was very slow and lazy. It was fun watching fishermen come and go as I was painting the study and I was very tempted to paint a fisherman but then decided to let the mountains and river speak for themselves.

This oil Painting is on a 30” x 40” gallery cradled board. The edges are painted black and are 1-1/2” thick.
